I’m Julianne Sandberg, a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Wheaton College. Having finished my Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University in May 2016, I now spend my time teaching literature and composition, exploring the Chicago area, and working on my book manuscript, Flesh Becoming Word: Eucharist and Allegory in Early Modern England. I like to think about religion, literature, and bodies and the varied relationships between them.
When I’m not reading, writing, or teaching, you can find me on at a running trail, my front porch, a coffeeshop, or a local restaurant. While I appreciate moments of solitude and reflection, I especially enjoy the company of good friends (new and old) and the pleasures of thoughtful conversation.
